Google will move to retail with Nexus One

Yesterday Google announced that they will be phasing out their online store and will stop selling the Nexus One directly. Their primary goal is to get the phone in as many stores as possible so people can play with the phone before buying. Getting the phone subsidized should also help Google move more devices. But with the large amount of Android phones already on the market I don’t see many carriers picking it up besides AT&T in the U.S. I also highly doubt any carrier in Canada will be getting the phone in stock. For more info on the Nexus One check out my Best Android Phone article and if your interested in getting one be sure to pick one up before the web site shuts down for good.
